Overview

When you purchase a .locker Web3 digital identity through any supported registrar, you’ll receive a Magic Link via email. By following the link, you can initiate the process to claim your Web3 identity, even if you prefer using different wallet addresses for separate identities.

Separate Wallet Control

Each .locker digital identity you purchase can now be assigned to any wallet of your choice. This means that, instead of auto-linking to a single wallet, each claim process allows you to connect a different wallet if desired.

Note: Configuring a Leather or Xverse wallet is required. Once your Bitcoin wallet has been configured, you will be able to connect other Ethereum digital wallets, like MetaMask or Phantom. 

No Auto-Linking

You have full control over which wallet each identity is linked to during the claim process.

Before You Start

• Be sure to use the latest versions of supported browsers. The .locker app works with Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Opera, and it only supports desktop devices
• Allow all pop-ups and third party cookies. If you can’t find the digital wallet window at any time, be sure your browser window is not blocking it
• Log out of any existing digital wallets
• Be mindful of safety and security practices. Never share your private key or seedphrase with anyone- including .locker! .locker will never request this information from you. Only approve requests coming from your digital wallet extension or app.my.locker. Always double check that URLs are correct before completing any activities

If you run into any issues with claiming your digital identity, contact .locker’s support team. Your domain registrar will not be able to assist with this process.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Check Your Email for the Magic Link. This link is unique to each identity purchase and allows you to start the claim process.
2. Click on the Magic Link. This link will take you to the .locker claim page for your specific identity.
3. Select Your Wallet for Identity Claim. You’ll have the option to connect any compatible wallet where you’d like the .locker digital identity to be registered. Make sure you’re logged into your preferred wallet before proceeding, as you’ll be prompted to choose a wallet during the claim. Note: You’ll go through the onboarding for each identity individually. This means that if you’ve purchased multiple identities, you’ll need to repeat this step for each one.
4. Complete the Claim Process by following the prompts to connect your wallet and claim your .locker identity.
5. Confirm your wallet connection, and you’re done! The identity will be registered with the selected wallet.
