Digital Asset Rebate Engine for Domain Registrars

Digital Asset Rebate Engine for Domain Registrars

Digital Asset Rebate Engine (DARE) is an industry-first program rewards domain name registrants with digital assets like bitcoin rebates when they purchase corresponding Web3 digital identities.

Orange Domains is proud to announce the launch of our Digital Asset Rebate Engine (DARE), an innovative solution designed to enhance our Minting as a Service (MaaS) offering for domain registrars. This industry-first program rewards domain name registrants with digital assets like bitcoin rebates when they purchase corresponding Web3 digital identities.

Building on the Success of .locker

Following the successful launch of our .locker extension — which has been praised as one of the most responsible Web3 solutions using domain names — we've experienced significant interest from registry operators looking to bridge the Web2-Web3 gap. Our MaaS product was developed specifically for ICANN-accredited TLDs to enable seamless integration of Web3 functionality on Bitcoin, the most secure and reliable blockchain

How DARE Works

The Digital Asset Rebate Engine creates a straightforward path for registrars to incentivize digital identity creation:

  1. Simple Setup: Accredited registrar partners sign on to offer BTC rebates to end users and agree on rebate amounts (for example, $5 in bitcoin).

  2. Streamlined User Experience: Users who purchase a new Web3 digital identity receive a promotional bitcoin rebate sent directly to their digital wallet within seven days of purchase.

  3. Automatic Processing: After the standard five-day Add Grace Period (AGP), users receive confirmation that funds have been deposited into their wallet.

Benefits for Registrars and Registry Operators

DARE is strategically designed to drive business growth through:

  • Increased User Engagement: Incentivizes purchases and encourages participation in the Web3 ecosystem
  • Enhanced Renewal Rates: Creates ongoing value that promotes customer retention
  • Flexible Reward Options: Initially launching with Bitcoin, but capable of accommodating various digital assets including cryptocurrencies, NFTs, ordinals, and badges

Technical Implementation

For registry operators, implementation is streamlined through our API endpoints that track domain registration, renewal, status changes, and other critical events. The system seamlessly integrates with existing registry backend systems to ensure smooth operation and reliable rebate processing.

Orange Domains continues to lead innovation at the intersection of traditional domain services and Web3 technologies. With DARE, we're providing registrars with powerful new tools to drive growth, foster loyalty, and guide customers through the next evolution of the internet.
