What is .locker?

Your .locker has two components: a domain name and a digital identity on the Bitcoin blockchain network.  The fully functional domain name and corresponding digital identity are connected to a single user.

What is a Domain Name?
A domain name is a human-readable identifier that maps to a corresponding IP address via the web’s Domain Name System (DNS). Domain names are registered through domain registrars and resellers, and lets individuals and organizations build websites and obtain email addresses. For example, your .locker domain name would be yourname.locker.
What is a Digital Identity?
A digital identity is also a human-readable identifier. But unlike a domain name, this identifier actually connects users to a digital wallet. This means that your .locker would also be yourname.locker. But in this case, yourname.locker can be used to access the Bitcoin blockchain network and its decentralized applications. Your assets, collectibles, and other digital Web3 items are stored in this digital wallet.
The Bitcoin blockchain offers a fresh approach to identity verification. By using digital signatures and leveraging its decentralized, transparent, and immutable nature, Bitcoin blockchain technology can provide a more secure and efficient way to verify identity without the pitfalls inherent in traditional methods.
